Executive Board

Officers

The Executive Board includes four officers: President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer, and the term of office for each is one fiscal year. No individual may serve in the same executive office for more than two consecutive one-year terms. No officer may be the spouse or domestic partner of another officer, nor may the President and Vice President both be a parent, guardian, or sponsor of a student primarily involved in the same Discipline, unless all good faith efforts have failed to find candidates from different Disciplines.

OTHER MEMBERS

The Executive Board includes one At-Large Board Member to represent each Discipline (i.e. one Orchestra Representative, one Band Representative, one Choir Representative, and one Theatre Representative). A Discipline that elects to participate notifies the Executive Board and provides an At-Large Board Member representative. The term of office for each ia one (1) fiscal year. No individual may serve as an At-large Board Member for more than two consecutive one-year terms, or serve at the same time in the capacity of President, Vice-President, Secretary, or Treasurer.

Board AUTHORITY

The Board has complete authority for governance of the SFA, including, but not limited to, the power to make necessary rules, regulations or procedures, to assess dues, fees and other charges, and to manage all financial matters. The Board may establish and appoint members from the Regular, Community or Faculty Membership to any committee it considers necessary to carry out the functions of the SFA.
